Elect Lady
Ashley
Lady Ashley is a native of Simpsonville, South Carolina, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ulysses IV and Anita Sweeney. She earned her B.A. in Political Science, Pre-Law, from South Carolina State University, her Juris Master in American Legal Studies from Liberty University, and she is now her final year of completing her Juris Doctor at Southern University Law Center.
Most recently, she served in the SULC Civil Law Clinic, helping underserved clients gain access to legal aid and representation. This work embodies her heart to not only serve but to serve the less fortunate. Raised in the Christian faith at Rock Creek Missionary Baptist Church, she carries the lessons she learned there into her service alongside Pastor Donte' at Encounter, where she is honored to serve. Her life verse is Micah 6:8: “He hath shown thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”
